In addition to the new Connected Modular 41, TAG Heuer has introduced new, slightly pricer version of its Connected Modular 45 smartwatch.
The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Full Diamonds is an Android Wear smartwatch that's made of gold and covered in diamonds. Specifically, the 45mm case is polished with white gold and there are 589 diamonds on the entire watch: 78 on the bezel, 16 on the lugs, and 495 on the bracelet. That's a total of 23.35 carats.
In addition to all of those diamonds, the Connected Modular 45 has features like a 1.39-inch 400x400 round AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, NFC, GPS, and a 410mAh battery.
This smartwatch also comes with a Calibre 5 mechanical watch that you can swap for the smartwatch whenever you'd like. The mechanical watch has a bezel with 72 diamonds, so you won't have to worry about losing a bunch of your watch's shine when you decide to go analog.
So how much can you expect to pay for a smartwatch that's covered in diamonds? 190,000 Swiss francs, or around $197,000 U.S. dollars. At that price, the market for the Connected Modular 45 Full Diamonds is going to be a bit limited, but at least there's now a smartwatch for folks that are all about luxury.
