The past couple of LG’s G series flagships have made their debuts in February, but according to a new report, the next model will be announced even earlier in the year.
LG is currently hoping to introduce the G7 in January of 2018. That’s according to Aju Business Daily, via The Investor, whose sources say that LG wants to get its new flagship to market before its rivals. It’s also rumored that the G7 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 845 processor.
It’s also rumored that LG will bump up the reveal of the V30 compared to past models. The V20 and V10 were both announced in September, but it’s said that the V30 might make its debut in August with a Snapdragon 836 processor.
While the LG G6 did beat the Samsung Galaxy S8 to market, the G6 didn’t really have much time to itself before the S8 was announced and then launched. Announcing the LG G7 could give it more time on the market to itself, which could result in more sales for LG.
