There’s still no word on exactly when Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners in the US will get access to Bixby Voice features, but if you’ve got an S8 and are desperate to give Bixby Voice a try, Samsung’s new preview program is for you.
Samsung today announced the Bixby Early Access Program, which gives Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners in the US a chance to try Bixby Voice before the feature launches to the public. To enroll, simply go to this webpage, agree to the Terms and Conditions, and enter your Samsung Account email address.
The first Bixby preview test will launch “in the near future,” says Samsung.
While Samsung hasn’t offered up an explanation as to why Bixby Voice is taking so long to launch in the US, past reports have suggested that Bixby is having trouble understanding English grammar and syntax. If that’s the case, a Bixby preview test could help Samsung continue to improve Bixby’s understanding of English with a larger group of users to ensure that Bixby is ready for the general public.
