Heads up, Windows 10 Mobile users, because the Anniversary Update is now coming your way.
Microsoft has announced that the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update is rolling out. To get the update, you can launch your Settings app, jump into the “Update & security” section, then go into “Phone update” and tap the “Check for updates” button.
It’s worth noting that Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, says that this update is the same one that Windows Insider testers on the Fast, Slow, and Release Preview rings have had for a week now. So if you’re a Windows Insider, you don’t need to update.
Because Sarkar says that Windows Insider testers have had this update for the past week, that suggests that the Anniversary Update is build 14393.67. That update included a fix for an issue that significantly reduced battery life when using Bluetooth with “Hey Cortana” enabled.
Additionally, this update is likely only available to unlocked Windows 10 Mobile devices right now. If you’ve got a carrier-branded phone, you’ll probably have to wait a bit longer while your carrier tests the update.
