Following Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 5 updates, the time for the AT&T Note 5 to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow has arrived.
AT&T today confirmed that it’s now pushing Marshmallow to both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. The big blue carrier says that these updates include AT&T Video Calling and "general bug fixes and enhancements." Because the Note 5 and GS6 edge+ are moving to Marshmallow, users can also expect goodies like Google Now on Tap and Doze mode battery optimizations.
As you might expect from an Android 6.0 update, these AT&T Note 5 and GS6 edge+ updates are biggies, coming in at around 1.4GB in size. That means that you may want to find a speedy Wi-Fi connections before attempting to download your phone’s update. After all, that means that you’ll be getting to the Marshmallow goodness faster!
If you’ve got an AT&T Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 edge+ and haven’t yet gotten your Android 6.0 update, you can check for it manually by going into Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
