Samsung has been placing heavy focus on its curved Edge displays in recent years, but they’ve largely been used on the Galaxy S flagships, with the Note Edge being the only Note phone with an edge screen. That could change this year, though.
A new report claims that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 will feature a dual-edge curved screen, similar to the one found on the Galaxy S7 edge. What’s more, it’s expected that Samsung won’t be launching a new Note smartphone with a flat display.
The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to make its official debut in August, with a U.S. launch rumored for the week of August 15. Besides a curved screen, the Note 7 is rumored to include a USB Type-C port and possibly an iris scanner. There haven’t been many hard spec leaks, but because this is a flagship Samsung phone, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Note 7 launch with features like a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 Super AMOLED display and Snapdragon 820 processor.
Will you be interested in the Note 7 if it’s only offered with a dual-edge curved screen?
