HTC yesterday confirmed a launch event for its next big phone, expected to be called the HTC 10, but that doesn’t mean that it the company is going to stop teasing the phone in the days leading up to that event.
HTC just posted another HTC 10 teaser to Twitter, this one touting the device’s audio capabilities. The tweet says “Here comes the new boom. You’ll hear it. #powerof10,” which seems to be a reference to BoomSound, HTC’s special audio features.

BoomSound refers to hardware (usually front-facing speakers) and software (which offers features like Theater and Music modes), but it’s rumored that the HTC 10 won’t include front-facing speakers like the M7, M8, and M9 before it. Leaked images of the HTC 10 suggest that its speaker will be located on the bottom of the unit rather than the front or back. Considering that HTC is touting a “new boom” for the HTC 10, though, it stands to reason that the company has cooked up something special for the speaker in its new flagship.
The HTC 10 will make its debut on April 12.
