Earlier this year, Alcatel released a Windows 10 Mobile version of the Fierce XL, which it launched as an Android phone in 2015. Now a new leak suggests that Alcatel is getting ready to do the same thing again.
An image shared by Evan Blass claims to show the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro, which is described as being a Windows 10 Mobile version of the Idol 4S (shown above), an Android phone that was announced last month. If the Idol 4 Pro is just an Idol 4S with Windows instead of Android, then its spec list will include a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 AMOLED display, 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, 3GB of RAM, and an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor.

As I mentioned before, Alcatel previously re-released one of its Android phones as a Windows 10 Mobile device, so it’s certainly possible that they could do it again with the Idol 4S. And while Windows fans do have the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL when it comes to buying a high-end smartphone, having another option couldn’t hurt, especially if the Idol 4 Pro offers a metal and glass body like the Idol 4S does.
