When the HTC One A9 first launched, it did so at a limited time price of $399. That price is back today, though, thanks to HTC Hot Deals.
The HTC One A9 can now be bought for $399, but that price will only be available until 11:59 pm PT March 8/2:59 am ET March 9. That price is valid on all four versions of the One A9, so you’ve got your choice of AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint models, or you can get the unlocked model.
While the four versions of the One A9 are similar hardware-wise, the unlocked model has some perks that the others don’t. Besides the fact that it’s SIM unlocked, HTC says that it’s also removed preloaded apps from the One A9, and that it works to push Android OS updates to the unlocked One A9 within 15 days of Google pushing them to Nexus devices.
Once you’ve selected an unlocked or carrier version of the One A9, you’ll need to choose a color. As of this writing, all four options are in stock, meaning you can choose from Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Deep Garnet, and Topaz Gold.
While the HTC One A9 is a few months old at this point, this $399 sale price makes it an interesting option for folks shopping in the “affordable flagship” category. Its 13-megapixel camera impressed in our review, and it’s got a metal body that gives a premium feel. And if you get the unlocked model, you’ll be getting fairly speedy software updates, too.
