We already know that the Galaxy S7 will officially launch at all major US carriers on March 11. Now folks on prepaid carriers are starting to learn when they’ll get a crack at Samsung’s latest hardware.
Sprint today revealed when the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be available on its Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile prepaid plans. Boost Mobile will get the GS7 first, with sales starting this Friday, March 11. Virgin Mobile customers will have to wait one week longer, with a VM launch planned for Friday, March 18.
Both Boost and Virgin will sell the 32GB Black Onyx version of the Galaxy S7 for $649.99.
It used to be that prepaid carriers didn’t get flagship phones like the Galaxy S7, and when you’re on a CDMA network like Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are, that means no flagships for you. We’ve seen flagships come to prepaid operators more often in recent years, though, and it looks like that trend will continue with the Galaxy S7. You have to pay full price for a prepaid GS7 since, but hey, at least you’ve got the option.
