The plain ol’ Google app is an important piece of Android, giving you goodies like Google Now, the cards that are inside of Now, and more. And now you can sign up to preview the app’s new features before they roll out to the public.
Google today launched a beta version of its Google app, and you can sign up by clicking this link. You’ll be taken to a page with a blue “Become a Tester” button to click and boom, you’ll be a tester. That means that you get the “testing version” of the app that Google warns may be unstable or have a few bugs. You could also end up getting to see features before most everyone else, though, so a enduring a few bugs could be worth it, right?
Right now, no one knows what kind of features Google could end up beta testing in this app. That said, because it’s Google and because the Google app is a big part of Android, this beta test is pretty enticing. If you want to sign up and find out first hand what features Google is testing for its app, you can sign up yourself right now.
