Sony is expected to take the wraps off of its new flagship Android hardware this week, but it looks like the devices may have leaked out on video first.
A new video has surfaced that appears to show a Sony rep showing off three new Sony smartphones, the Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium, and Z5 Compact. The entire clip is in French, but folks that claim to speak the language say that the video mentions a 5.2-inch display for the Xperia Z5 and a 5.5-inch 4K (3840x2160) display on the chrome-colored Xperia Z5 Premium.
Also said to be mentioned in the video is the inclusion of 23-megapixel rear cameras on the Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium, and Z5 Compact, as well as a fingerprint sensor for all three models. The details mentioned in this video line up with the set of specs that leaked out a few days ago.
Most recent high-end Android phones have launched with 2560x1440 displays, so this Xperia Z5 Premium will offer quite a few more pixels than flagship phones like the Note 5 and G4. There will likely be some questions about if you really need such a high-resolution display in your pocket, but if you’re all about bleeding edge specs, the Xperia Z5 Premium could be a must-have device if today’s leak holds true.
