The Nexus rumor mill continues churning today with a new video that claims to show a render of the new LG Nexus, codenamed “Bullhead.” The render shows a device with front-facing speakers as well as a round, protruding camera on its back. Beneath that camera sits a fingerprint reader. At the bottom of the device lives a USB Type-C port and headphone jack.
The LG “Bullhead” Nexus is rumored to have a 5.2-inch display. Its dimensions are said to be 146.9 x 72.9mm x 8mm, though at its thickest point (the protruding camera), the phone is reportedly 9.8mm thick. To compare, the Nexus 5 has a 4.95-inch screen and measures 137.84 x 69.17 x 8.59mm.
These details allegedly come from factory schematics sent to companies that make accessories. That means that while the placement of ports, cameras, speakers, etc. are included, the schematics likely wouldn’t reveal details like build materials and branding.
Google has introduced the past several generations of Nexus hardware in mid to late October, so that could be the the timeframe in which we’ll see this LG “Bullhead” and its Huawei “Angler” sibling revealed this year. Since they’re some of the most hotly-anticipated phones of the year, though, expect the rumor mill to keep pushing out leaks and rumors like this one until then.
