We’re expecting several new round smartwatches in the coming months, including a new Moto 360, a round watch from Samsung, and the Huawei Watch. Now we can add another circular device to that list.
The Huawei Honor Band Zero was recently teased on Twitter as a new wearable device with a round face and a clean-looking design. Unfortunately, that’s about all that’s known about the Honor Band Zero right now, as Huawei is being pretty quiet about the product outside of calling it a “smart wearable device that embodies a minamalistic [sic] design.”
Because most analog watches are round, lots of folks like their smartwatch to be round to help it look more like a traditional timepiece. The Honor Band Zero has the looks of a regular watch, offering a brushed finish and round casing. The problem is that while we know it’s actually a smart device, it’s unclear if the Honor Band Zero is running Android Wear or some other software. Here’s to hoping that we learn more soon.
