When Apple announced its new Apple Music streaming service last month, it said that it’d offer a three-month free trial when the service goes live on June 30. That trial will be available to everyone, including folks that are currently subscribed to Beats Music, the service that Apple Music is replacing.
The Beats Music website includes a FAQ page to address several questions about the transition from Beats Music to Apple Music, including how Beats Music subscribers can change services and if they can take their playlists to the new service (yes, yes they can). One of the questions is “Will a trial be offered?” and Apples says that, yes, even Beats Music subscribers will get a three-month trial for Apple Music.
While Apple Music is basically a new version of Beats Music, it’s nice to see that existing Beats Music subscribers will get the same three-month Apple Music trial that everyone else will get. After all, who doesn’t like getting new music, especially three months’ worth?
Apple Music will go live on iOS on June 30, and when it goes live, you Beats Music subscribers will be able to transfer to Apple Music by just opening the Beats Music app. Apple Music will also launch on Mac and PC on June 30, with launches on Android and Apple TV to happen in the fall.
