HTC’s flagship line of One smartphones have a lot in common. They’ve all got BoomSound front-facing speakers, they’ve all got UltraPixel cameras — though the One M9’s is on the front instead of the rear — and the design of all three phones is somewhat similar. Now we can add one more thing to the list that all HTC One M models have in common.
HTC today revealed a 24 kt. gold version of the One M9, which is a special version of its flagship Android phone to help celebrate the end of the UEFA Champions League season. This special One M9 is covered in real gold, just like the golden One M7 and One M8 phones that we’ve seen in the past. The rear of this gold One M9 includes information about the final Champions League match between FC Barcelona and Juventus, which is taking place tomorrow, June 6.
HTC hasn’t revealed exactly how many of these gold One M9 phones it’ll make or how anyone will be able to get their hands on a unit. The previous gold-clad One M phones were limited edition models that weren’t available for us regular folk to go out and buy, though, and I’m betting that that’ll be the case with this gold One M9 too. And even if it HTC were to make the gold One M9 available to everyone to buy, its price would likely be so high that most of us couldn’t or wouldn’t want to spend the cash on one. It sure is pretty to look at, though.
