When Sony announced the selfie-focused Xperia C4 last month, it said that the device would begin shipping in June. Well, now that June has rolled around, Sony has started sending out the C4.
Sony says that the Xperia C4 is hitting shops in the Asia-Pacific region this week. The C4 won’t be limited to that part of the globe, though, because Sony expects to start shipping it to other parts of the globe in the coming weeks. As a quick refresher, here are the specs that the Xperia C4 is packing:
As you could probably guess by looking at the Xperia C4, it’s big focus is on selfies. While most smartphones nowadays have front-facing cameras, there aren’t many that also have an LED flash for that camera, but the C4 does. Combine that flash, a wide-angle lens, HDR, and a 5-megapixel sensor, and you’ve got what Sony calls “the world’s best selfie smartphone.” We’ll have to snap some photos of our mugs before we can make a judgment about whether or not the C4 is indeed the best selfie phone, but now that the phone is shipping, it won’t be long before Sony’s claim is put to the test.
