The weekend is almost here, and Google has decided to sneak an Android app update out before getting its weekend underway.
Google Wallet for Android is now getting an update with two notable new features. The first addition is Google Maps integration in receipts that’ll show you on a map where you made a certain transaction. The other new feature is the ability to search your transaction history by merchant name, item purchased, or other keywords.
These two new features sound like big additions to Google Wallet. The Google Maps integration will let you quickly figure out exactly where you made a purchase without making you find an address, copy it, then paste it into Google Maps yourself. And the transaction history will let you quickly find all of the purchases you made at a particular location, find information about a specific item you bought, or whatever else you might need to hunt down.
This Google Wallet app update should be rolling out now, so keep an eye out for it.
