Motorola now has two second generation versions of its Moto smartphone group: the Moto X and Moto G. There’s still no Moto E (2nd Gen.) to be found, but that may soon change.
The folks at Android Police have posted an image that may show the Moto E (2nd Gen.) While there’s no concrete evidence to support the theory that this device is the new Moto E, it does look like an updated version of last year’s super-cheap Motorola phone, sporting a similar design language and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The original Moto E offered a 4.3-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, a microSD slot, and a 1980mAh battery all for $129 without a contract, which is a pretty nice deal. While Motorola hasn’t officially announced plans for a new Moto E, it wouldn’t be a surprise to learn that such a device is in the works, and the phone in this newly-leaked image certainly looks like it could be a new Moto E. Perhaps an announcement at MWC in early March is in the cards?
