Earlier this week, we caught wind of a new AT&T HTC One (M8) update that was slated to bring a bump to Android 4.4.4, HD Voice, and more. Unfortunately, it looks like AT&T may have posted that info a bit early, because it’s now gone from AT&T’s support site. The good news is that we’ve now gotten more info on the update and the extra goodies that it’ll bring.
Mo Versi, HTC’s VP of Product Management, has revealed that the AT&T HTC One (M8)’s Android 4.4.4 is expected to begin going out over the air “early next week.” Along with Android 4.4.4 and HD Voice (VoLTE), the update will bring with it the HTC Eye Experience, which is a group of camera features like Split Capture, Crop-Me-In, and Voice Selfie.
So yeah, while it’s kind of a bummer that the update will be going out about a week later than expected, we do know that the update’s going to be bringing new camera features for you AT&T One (M8) folk to play with.
