Sling Media, the makers of the SlingBox, a device that allows users to control their TV from anywhere in the world via their Laptop/PDA/Smartphone has announced today they are working on a Blackberry version of the SlingPlayer software. The software has been available for Window Mobile, Symbian and even Palm operating systems for sometime now which begs the question ? Why did it take so long?
The software will cost $30 plus the cost of the SlingBox(prices vary depending on model), but unfortunately even though Sling Media plans on demonstrating the service using a Pearl 8120 next week during the CES convention, the company said it won't be available until sometime in late 2008.
