Nokia news hit the Web this morning in the form of juicy bits about high end handsets. First off, Boy Genius Report is citing two "reliable sources" in reporting a forthcoming Nseries handset with a full QWERTY keyboard. Nokia's Nseries models currently feature the company's best multimedia specs but nary a QWERTY pad, and BGR says that will all change in the second half of this year. The forthcoming monster will look something like an E61i (slim candybar-style smartphone) and feature a 5MP + camera with full DVD-quality video recording, integrated GPS, and "a few new goodies that will take the Nseries to the next level." Sounds like fun to me.
Meanwhile, Unwired View is reporting on a thread in the Mobile-Review.com forums summarizing all sorts of Nokia rumors. The new ones focus on the successors to the E61i and E65 business handsets: The E71 will reportedly available in Q2 of this year and feature a 10mm thin body with a 3mp camera, WiFi, GPS, and HSDPA support. The E66 will also feature a 3mp cam, GPS, and HSDPA, along with "full support for device and memory card encryption." Both sound like worthy, if not groundbreaking, updates to successful business-class devices. The E61i is one of the best smartphones out there, if you don't need US-spec 3G access and don't mind its scientific calculator retro styling.
