Four days have passed since the start of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 challenge, and it's given me a weekend to put the phone through its paces in my personal life.  Despite being labeled by some as "gimmicks," I find the software features to be nice add-ons to an already great formula.  I use S Beam on a regular basis, and find myself really enjoying Air Gesture and Smart Scroll.

That said, this is probably the first time I've found myself happier with the US version of a smartphone than the international version.  The US version (which I have worked with for roughly two weeks) packs a 1.9 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, while the international version offers an octa-core CPU (two quad-core CPUs, in essence - one at 1.6 GHz and one at 1.2 GHz).  In day-to-day use, I find the US version to be faster than the international version.  I also find myself missing LTE greatly when I'm using a non-carrier device.
