As you (probably) expected, it's time for a 30 day challenge with the Samsung Galaxy S 4!  Samsung's latest flagship smartphone packs a ton of improvements over its predecessor, and I'm looking forward to putting them to the test over 30 days and getting a better understanding of all of the features on the device.

I'm starting the challenge with the international version (complete with the octa-core processor) but will switch to the AT&T Galaxy S 4 when the unit is available.  On day one, it's all about getting accustomed to the new smartphone.  I've worked with TouchWiz extensively and carry the Galaxy Note II when I'm not on a 30 day challenge, but there are some differences between Samsung's UI on Android 4.1 and Android 4.2.

A few of the things I'm particularly curious about, given how I use my phone:

• Coming from the Galaxy Note II and its gigantic 3,100 mAh battery, how will the Galaxy S 4 (international and US versions) fare with a 2,600 mAh battery?
• Will it be a challenge to move down from a larger display?
• Given my extensive use of the S Pen, will it be hard to not have the feature?
• Now that the HTC One is out, is the build quality of the Galaxy S 4 less desirable?
