With each new major release of Android, Google has included an Easter egg that’s accessed by repeatedly tapping on the “Android version” section of your “About phone” settings. Today Google released an updated version of its Android 5.0 Lollipop preview, and with it came a new Easter egg.
The folks at Android Central have installed the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop Developer Preview onto a Nexus 5 and found that it contains a new Flappy Bird-style Easter egg. After you repeatedly tap on the “Android version” section of your “About phone” menu and then long-press on the lollipop that appears, you’ll be treated to a game that tasks you with navigating a floating bugdroid through a bunch of lollipops. And yes, just like the original Flappy Bird, this game is tough.
There have been a lot of fun Android Easter eggs in the past, but this new Lollipop find might be the best one yet. Not only does it look nice, but it’s a fun and free game that can help you kill some time. You can check out a demo of the new Lollipop Easter egg below.
