Yesterday saw the debut of HTC’s Eye Experience and the Desire Eye, two parts of HTC’s new “Eye” camera offerings. Now HTC’s Chinese branch appears to have revealed a third Eye product.
The HTC One (M8 Eye) has been spotted on HTC’s official Chinese shop. The device looks fairly similar to the regular One (M8) that launched earlier this year, complete with a Duo Camera rear setup and metal body. The page says that the One (M8) will go on sale on October 15 for 3,999 Chinese Yuan ($652 USD).
Specs for the HTC One (M8) Eye include a 5-inch 1920x1080 display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, dual-SIM support, 4G LTE and 16GB of storage. The one big difference between the One (M8 Eye) is its rear camera, which offers a 13-megapixel Duo Camera setup instead of the 4-megapixel UltraPixel Duo Camera of the One (M8).
Unfortunately for anyone that’d like a One (M8) with a 13-megapixel shooter, the rumor mill suggests that the One (M8 Eye) will only be available in China and India. But hey, if you’ve got the cash and the desire, importing is always an option.
