Ever since iOS 8 launched to the public, iOS users have been waiting for major updates to their apps to bring goodies like iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support and Notification Center widgets. Today popular check-in app Swarm is getting its iOS 8 update, and with it is coming a feature that users of the app will enjoy.
Swarm version 1.3 is now available for download in the App Store. The major new feature that’s included in with the update is a Notification Center widget that allows you to check in to a location without actually opening the app. You simply swipe down from the top of your device’s display and you’ll be greeted by what Swarm thinks is your current location, a check-in button and a list of your friends that are nearby.
While opening the Swarm app, finding your location and clicking a couple of buttons doesn’t take *that* long, using this new Notification Center widget ought to speed up your check-ins considerably, which will give you more time to focus on your friends or on other apps on your phone.
