The Lumia 730 from Nokia has managed to stand out from the crowd due to a remarkably colorful back cover. But when the device gets officially unveiled, the self-titled "selfie phone" hopes to win people over not only with its colorful back case, but also an equally impressive front-facing camera. Now, thanks to Nokia Connects, we know just when the new device will be announced.
The official announcement isn't a big surprise, of course, as Microsoft will want some kind of presence at this year's IFA convention in Berlin. According to the official invitation to the small event, the Lumia 730 will be unveiled on stage on September 4 at 10:00AM CET. The invitation itself is pretty straightforward in its presentation, with it being a selfie and all. It comes along with the hashtag #morelumia for good measure.
As far as specifications go, the Lumia 730 is said to feature a 4.7-inch display, with a quad-core processor under the hood. The camera on the back is said to be 8-megapixels, while the front-facing camera will have a 5MP shooter. It will reportedly launch with 8GB of built-in storage, and offer a microSD card slot with support of cards up to 128GB. It will also have dual-SIM support, and have 1GB of RAM.
The Lumia 730 has been leaked off-and-on since the beginning of August, but for anyone who is looking forward to the new selfie phone from Microsoft, at least there's an official announcement date to circle on the calendar.
