Microsoft is likely going to take the wraps off of a pair of new Windows Phone smartphones later this week, but as is usually the case in the mobile world, we don’t have to wait until then to get a peek at the fresh hardware.
Chinese site WPDang (Google Translate) has posted multiple photos of what’s said to be the Nokia Lumia 830 in the wild. The photos show a device that looks a bit like a combination of the Lumia 925 and Lumia 930, with a white, removable back and flat, metallic sides. There’s also a round camera housing that plays host to a 10-megapixel shooter and a microSD slot, and around front lives a 1280x720 display that may measure 5 inches in size.
Like the Lumia 820 before it, the Lumia 830 will likely be a mid-range Windows Phone device. With a 5-inch HD display and 10-megapixel rear shooter, though, the Lumia 830 could be a respectable offering for folks that want to get in on the Live Tile action on a budget but still want a phone that can perform well.
Microsoft is holding an event on Sept. 4 at which it’s expected to officially reveal both the Lumia 730 and the Lumia 830.
