T-Mobile successfully snagged some 700MHz spectrum from Verizon this year in order to help improve its indoor LTE coverage. Apparently T-Mo is super committed to boosting its service indoors, because the magenta carrier has followed up its Verizon deal by purchasing some more 700MHz airwaves.

An FCC document (PDF link) has revealed that T-Mobile has agreed to purchase some 700MHz A Block spectrum licenses from Actel, a subsidiary of telecommunications company CenturyLink. The 13 licenses included in the deal cover 6.5 million people in portions of the following states:

• Alabama
• Arkansas
• Colorado
• Florida
• Georgia
• Louisiana
• Michigan
• Missouri
• Montana
• New Mexico
• Oklahoma

T-Mobile has been putting in work on improving its network lately by buying up spectrum, rolling out LTE coverage and Voice over LTE service. This 700MHz spectrum will help T-Mo to further that effort, offering users better in-building coverage. T-Mobile says that it's already starting to equip its cell sites with 700MHz gear and testing its first 700MHz-capable devices, so Magenta Army members can take solace knowing that John Legere and Co. are hard at work to improve their LTE coverage.
