We haven’t heard much about the Nokia Lumia 1320 in the U.S. ever since it originally debuted back in October, but in just a few days the Windows Phone phablet will finally have a U.S. operator to call home.
Cricket Wireless announced today that it will begin selling the Lumia 1320 this Friday, June 13. Pricing will be set a $229.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
The Nokia Lumia 1320 is one of the larger Windows Phone models currently available, sporting a 6-inch 1280x720 display. In order to help power that large screen, the Lumia 1320 also includes a beefy 3400mAh battery.
Also included with the Nokia Lumia 1320 is a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD slot with support for cards unto 64GB in size and 4G LTE connectivity. Powering this Lumia package is Windows Phone 8 Update 3.
The Lumia 1320 isn’t quite a specced out as its Lumia 1520 sibling, but it’s still a respectable Windows Phone device, especially for a little over $200 without a commitment. It’s great to see Windows Phone continue to appear in the prepaid market, and while there’s nothing wrong with entry-level devices like the Lumia 520 that went prepaid before it, this Lumia 1320 is a welcome sight since it provides a slightly more high-end Windows Phone experience.
