Hot on the heels of a leak that teased a new HTC Nexus device codenamed “flounder,” another leak has revealed a different, likely more Sense-ified HTC product.
Today @evleaks shared a render of an HTC-branded device referred to as the “B2.” We can see in the image that the B2 is packing a front-facing camera as well as a pair of front-facing BoomSound speakers. One thing that the device is missing is a set of capacitive keys, suggesting that the B2 will follow the One (M8)’s lead and adopt on-screen navigation buttons.
There’s not much else that’s known about the HTC B2, but it’s said that it may be a follow-up to the J Butterfly. The B2 has a design that’s similar to the J Butterfly, including its rounded edges and front-facing speakers, so it’s certainly possible that this is a J Butterfly successor.
The original J Butterfly boasted some pretty impressive specs at its launch, including a 5-inch 1080p display and quad-core Snapdragon processor, so it’s possibly that the B2 will be similarly high-end. For now we’ll just have to wait for HTC — or another leak — to shed more light on the device.
