We already know that the HTC One (M7) will be updated to the newest version of HTC’s custom user interface, known as Sense 6. The question is, when? The exact rollout date isn’t yet known, but HTC America president Jason Mackenzie today did shed a little more light on the matter.
Mackenzie revealed on Twitter today that the HTC (One) M7 will begin receiving its upgrade to Sense 6 by the end of May. The exec went on to say that this timeframe applies to both the U.S. and Canada.
It’s no surprise that the HTC One (M7) will be updated to the newest version of Sense. After all, not only was the device HTC’s flagship smartphone for a full year, but HTC also recently kicked off its Advantage program that promises major OS updates for two years following its launch. We still don’t know exactly when Sense 6 will begin hitting the One (M7) or which features will be included, but hey, at least we know that we’ll find out sometime in the next six weeks.
