The Nokia Lumia Icon has been leaking out on a semi-regular basis for around four months now, appearing in leaked renders, real-life photos and even Verizon's own tester website. At this point we've got a pretty good idea of what the device looks like and what makes it tick, so we're just waiting on Nokia and Verizon to make the thing official so that we can stop ogling it online and start actually using it. It's still not clear when that'll happen, though, so for now we'll have to settle for another leak.
Some new photos have been posted to Sina Weibo by C Technology WindowsPhone that give us a clear, close-up look at the Lumia Icon in the wild. The unit shown in these latest images lines up nicely with the ones that we've seen in previous leaks, sporting Nokia and Verizon tattoos on both its front and rear, a PureView-branded rear camera and a Windows Phone 8 Update 3 Start screen with three columns of medium-sized Live Tiles.
According to the Lumia Icon product page from Verizon's test site, the new Nokia handset will sport a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 20-megapixel PureView camera and a 2420mAh battery. Overall the Lumia Icon shaping up to be a pretty nice device for Windows Phone fans on Verizon, especially considering that the last WP8 device to hit Big Red's shelves was the Lumia 928 in May 2013. Now if only Nokia and Verizon would just announce its pricing and availability. Out with it, guys!
