It's certainly been a while since we've seen the words "Android" and "Dell" in the same sentence, but that's changing today thanks to Dell's announcement of two new Android-powered tablets. The company officially introduced the Venue 7 and Venue 8 today, and as you might've guessed from their names, the two slates feature 7 and 8-inch displays, respectively. The full spec rundowns for the Venue 7 and Venue 8 are as follows:
Venue 7
Venue 8
Both models will be available from Dell's website starting on Oct. 18, and pricing will be set at $149.99 for the Venue 7 and $179.99 for the Venue 8. While neither tablet looks like it'll blow your hair back with performance, their low prices could make them interesting options for consumers in the market an affordable new slate that can be thrown in a bag and carried around throughout the day. It's also worth noting that Dell plans to update both the Venue 7 and Venue 8 to Android 4.3 in the coming months, so that's something to keep in mind while looking over these new slates.
So what do you think of Dell's newest Android tablet offerings? Will you be picking one of them up once they hit Dell's virtual shelves?
