After revealing last week that the Android 4.3 update for U.S. carrier-branded HTC One models would "slightly miss" their end of September deadline, HTC President of Global Sales Jason Mackenzie today shared some news that ought to turn the frowns of some of those HTC One owners upside down.
Mackenzie just announced on his official Twitter account that the Sprint HTC One will begin receiving its Android 4.3 update today, Oct. 2. Sprint hasn't made any formal announcements or posted any changelogs, so it's still unclear exactly what's inside the update besides a bump to Android 4.3. Still, it's exciting to see that the U.S. carrier HTC One models are starting to get their own taste of 4.3, and I'm sure that many One users are relieved to see that that "slight" delay really was rather short.
Sprint customers that call the HTC One their daily driver can manually check for the Android 4.3 update by heading into Settings > System update > HTC software update > Check now. If you're a Sprint One owner and you manage to pull some Jelly Bean goodness from the sky, be sure to let us know!
