Nokia's got a big "Innovation Reinvented" event scheduled for Oct. 22, and while the Finnish firm hasn't said what it's got planned for the gathering, a new report claims that the Elop and Co. have quite a bit of new kit to show.
Sources speaking to The Verge say that Nokia will introduce "at least" six new products at its Oct. 22 shindig, including multiple Lumia-branded products. It's also said that there will be a slew of accessories shown, one of which is described as being "very special." No other details on the upcoming devices or accessories were given.
The rumor mill recently suggested that Nokia's oft-leaked Lumia 1520 could debut in October, so it seems likely that that 6-inch Windows Phone is one of the products that will be shown in Abu Dhabi. Another possible guest is Nokia's Windows RT-powered tablet, which is now expected to be known as the Lumia 2520 when it comes to market. There's a chance that we could see a new Asha phone or two introduced as well.
While most of Nokia's plans for it Oct. 22 are still a mystery for now, the claim that it may travel to Abu Dhabi with armfuls of new devices and accessories is pretty exciting news or mobile fans. After all, who doesn't love seeing fresh hardware introduced? Now we just have to summon the patience to wait for one more month. Of course, given how frequently we've seen the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 leak out recently, we may not go completely hungry while we wait.
