Well, this is a nice Monday evening surprise. The 4G LTE-enabled version of the new Nexus 7 has silently appeared in the Google Play Store, complete with 32GB of storage and a $349 price tag. The unit comes with a T-Mobile SIM card, but Google notes that the unit does come unlocked. The LTE version of the new Nexus 7 includes support for a number of wireless frequencies:

• GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz)
• HSPA (850, 900, AWS, 1900, 2100MHz)
• LTE (700, 850, AWS, 1900MHz)

Google has previously said that in the U.S., its LTE-capable Nexus 7 will support AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon's LTE networks. The device should also play nicely with AT&T and T-Mobile's 3G service, but because of its lack of CDMA hardware, Verizon customers won't be able to access their operator's 3G coverage.

When it comes to actually buying a unit, Google says that its LTE-enabled Nexus 7 is now in stock, with new orders expected to ship within 1-2 business days. Google is offering free ground shipping on purchases of this LTE Nexus 7 for a limited time, and buyers will also receive 2GB of T-Mobile 4G data for one month. It's also worth noting that this LTE Nexus 7 will be making its way into T-Mobile stores in October. 

Google announced back in late July that it planned to release an LTE-flavored version of its new Nexus 7, but at the time the company only said that the device would launch sometime in the "coming weeks." While that vague timeframe probably ended up being a tad longer than some folks would've liked, it's good to see that the LTE Nexus 7 is now available. Even better is that it comes unlocked and includes support for LTE on three of the four major U.S. carriers, meaning that many buyers should be able to find a 4G signal that their tablet can latch on to.
