Earlier this week Samsung sent out invitations to an Unpacked 2013: Episode 2 event that's taking place on Sept. 4, and while the company didn't exactly come right out and say it, it's fairly likely that the Galaxy Note III will be making its big debut there. Folks that are super excited for a new Galaxy Note apparently won't need to wait until Sept. 4 to get confirmation of the next model's existence, though, as some Samsung documentation has been discovered that calls out the unannounced device by name.
Samsung's global website currently hosts a set of instructions on how to use SideSync, a piece of software that enables a user to hook their Samsung-made Android device up to a computer and share screens and data between the two. An Android Central reader has found that the SideSync instructions are littered with references to the "Galaxy Note III." According to the documentation, the SideSync app will come preloaded on Samsung's next giganto-phone.
Unfortunately for anyone hungry for some substantial information on the Note III, this SideSync document doesn't offer up any details about the device save for its name. Still, today's tidbit is evidence that Samsung's got another entry in its Galaxy Note smartphone family on the way, which isn't exactly a surprise considering the popularity of previous models. Exactly what features Samsung is planning to pack into the Note III is still a mystery, but if the Note II and S 4 are any indication, a high-end smartphone that's packed to the gills with software features seems like a pretty safe bet.
