In week 53 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the Samsung Galaxy Note II stole the spotlight back from the BlackBerry Z10, breaking all records with an impressive 1,600 votes and returning to the coveted first place spot. On the heels of Samsung’s Galaxy S IV announcement and the launch of the HTC One, can the Galaxy Note II pick up the traction it had once before?
MT PLEASANT, SC – For 53 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has become the gold standard for ranking the market's greatest smartphones by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. In the best week of voting since the start of the program, the Samsung Galaxy Note II returned to the first place spot with a jaw-dropping 1,600 votes, 1,228 votes ahead of its closest competitor.
In another surprise twist, the Google Nexus 4 moved into the second place spot on the People’s Choice chart, garnering a total of 372 votes. The Samsung Galaxy S III returned to third place with 326 votes, while the BlackBerry Z10 dropped from first place to fourth place with a total of 308 votes. Rounding out the list, the Apple iPhone 5 with 176 votes. On the Expert’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note II held the first place position with 47 points, wh
ile the Apple iPhone 5 remained in second place with 41 points. In third place, the Samsung Galaxy S III with 36 points, followed by the Google Nexus 4 with 23 points. Rounding out the expert’s list, a tie between the HTC DROID DNA and BlackBerry Z10, with both garnering 16 points each.
