Hot on the heels of HTC's announcement of the One X+ this morning, AT&T has revealed that it'll be the exclusive carrier of the new device here in the U.S. and that it'll also soon be adding two other HTC handsets to its roster. The One X+ will be arriving on AT&T shelves "in the coming months," and it'll be joined by the HTC One VX, which AT&T describes as "an affordable smartphone" that offers "a premium experience." The One VX's spec sheet includes a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540) Super LCD 2 display, 5-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and Android 4.0. There's also support for NFC and AT&T 4G LTE with the One VX.
As a refresher, the One X+ features a 4.7-inch 720p display, 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 64GB storage and a Carbon Black body. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come preloaded on the One X+, and it'll run beneath a new version of HTC's Sense overlay called Sense 4+. AT&T's version of the One X+ will also feature LTE connectivity, but one thing that it looks like the One X+ will lose while making the transition from an international device to an AT&T-exclusive model are the red accents of the capacitive keys, camera and Beats logo.
AT&T also had some good news for Windows Phone fans today, as it announced that it will launch the HTC Windows Phone 8X in November. There's no word yet on how much the device might cost or what color(s) AT&T plans to offer it in.
So, AT&T customers, there's a look at the HTC smartphones that you can expect to see hitting your carrier's shelves in the coming months. Considering that AT&T already offers the original One X and that we saw the One X+ in the FCC with AT&T-friendly LTE, it's no surprise to see that the One X+ will also be making its way to the big blue carrier. The One VX and its qHD display sounds like it's a handset that'll appeal more to the budget-conscious crowd than the bleeding edge one, but we'll have to wait for AT&T to actually announce pricing details before we learn exactly how "affordable" the phone is. Until then, you can find AT&T's full announcement of today's news below.
