The iPad mini leaks can't stop, won't stop. We've already seen a mockup of the still-unofficial device handled in photos, but today some images of actual parts that purportedly belong to the iPad mini have made their way online. The shots, which have been posted by UkrainianiPhone, show a dark outer shell that would be the back of the smaller iPad. The outer portion of the part has a hole in the upper left corner for the device's camera as well as what looks to be a plastic strip for cellular connectivity. Meanwhile, the inner part of the shell shows a nano-SIM tray and Lightning port. Finally, a photo of a white front panel shows a part with a front-facing camera cutout up top and thin side bezels, as has been previously rumored.
The rumors of an iPad mini device have been floating around for some time, but the rumblings have really been picking up as of late. The tablet is thought to feature a 7.85-inch display, down from the regular iPad's 9.7 incher, and is also expected to feature an iPod-touch like design with smaller size bezels than those found on the full-size iPad. While there's obviously no word yet on when the device might launch (if it really does) since, you know, Apple hasn't introduced it yet, recent reports have suggested that an event could be held for the device in October, with invitations for that gathering possibly going out on October 10. Good thing that there's no shortage of leaks and rumors to keep us busy while we wait to see if Apple actually plans to launch a smaller iPad this year. What do you all make of these leaks?
