The iPhone 5 officially made its debut on the big U.S. carriers on September 21, and then Apple's new handset began making its way to smaller operators like Cricket and C Spire a week later. One carrier that offers the iPhone 4 and 4S but hasn't made any mention of the iPhone 5, though, is Virgin Mobile. The good news is that while we've yet to hear any iPhone 5 launch plans from Virgin, Apple reportedly does have iPhone 5 models meant for use with the carrier ready. MacRumors claims to have a list of all six model numbers for the Virgin-specific versions of the iPhone 5, including MD250LL/A for the black 16GB variant and MD591LL/A for the 64GB white model.
So when might Virgin Mobile customers be able to purchase Apple's latest smartphone? Unfortunately, that much is still a mystery, and Virgin isn't exactly helping clear things up, simply telling MacRumors that the operator has "made no announcements about this." That's kind of a bummer, but at least with today's report, customers on Virgin that are interested in the iPhone 5 can finally start saving up for one. While nothing is officially official just yet, considering this leak along with the fact that Virgin currently offers the iPhone 4 and 4S and that Virgin parent Sprint carries the iPhone 5, it certainly wouldn't be a shock to see the handset hit Virgin's shelves. Once we get some information from Virgin Mobile on this matter, we'll give you a shout,
