It's time to kick off another episode of "Hey, What Phone Is That?", as images of an unidentified HTC handset have made their way online. Posted on the Phone HK forum, this device features a black body with red accents along the sides and the camera. We can also see what looks to be a set of capacitive navigation keys on the mystery phone's face and a Beats logo around back. Unfortunately for us, that's about all that's known about this phone right now.
Just because details on this HTC device are light doesn't mean that we can't speculate on what it could be, and there's a rumored phone that's been floating around for a while now that could be the handset in these new images. That's the HTC 6435LVW that's reportedly on its way to Verizon. As we all know, Verizon loves the color red, and the red accents on this mystery device would make it seem right at home on Big Red's shelves. One of the headlining features that the 6435LVW reportedly packs is a 5-inch 1794x1080 display. Since this device has capacitive navigation keys, it's possible that a black menu button bar was present in the benchmarking app that captured the 6435LVW's specs, causing the reported resolution to show up as 1794x1080 rather than straight up 1080p.
Last we heard, the HTC's 5-inch Android handset thought to be hitting Verizon in the fall, but that rumor surfaced back in April, so it's not known if fall is still in the cards or if the target has moved. It's also worth noting that the phone in these new photos could be something else entirely. For now we'll just have to ogle the images and wonder. What do you all think of this phone? Would you Verizon folk be interested in it if this is indeed the oft-rumored 5-inch HTC handset?
