Nokia may be busy prepping some shiny new Lumia handsets running Windows Phone 8, but according to a new rumor, that isn't stopping the company from planning a device with Windows Phone 7.8. A new report from The Verge claims that Nokia is working on a follow-up to the Lumia 610 that's codenamed "Glory" and will run on Windows Phone 7.8. In terms of specs, we're told to expect a 4-inch display, 800MHz processor and 256MB RAM. The Glory is reportedly expected to arrive as soon as the holiday season.

Like the Lumia 610, the Glory sounds like a low-end device meant to appeal to folks looking for a smartphone that'll be pretty easy on the wallet. The 4-inch display ought to make for a nice bump up from the 3.7 incher found on the 610, though, and it'll be interesting to see what other spec updates (if any) Nokia includes in the Glory. There's no word yet on when the Glory will be formally introduced or what it'll be called when it is, but a debut at Nokia and Microsoft's upcoming event is not expected to happen. Stay tuned!
