For the seventh consecutive week, the Samsung Galaxy S III has taken the #1 spot in both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. It has remained nearly uncontested for going on two months now, proving its dominance as the top smartphone. Which of the many upcoming smartphones will be the one to knock the Samsung Galaxy S III from the #1 spot?
MT. PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has set the standard for ranking the best of the best smartphones in the mobile market for 25 weeks and counting. This week, the Samsung Galaxy S III took the #1 spot in the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, marking the seventh week in a row that Samsung's flagship topped both charts.
In the People's Choice Chart, the Samsung Galaxy S III widened its lead over the HTC One X, besting it by 244 votes. In second place, the HTC One X barely held off the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (global) in third, only beating it by a margin of 11 votes. The HTC One X came in second place in the Mobile Tech Expert’s chart with 28 points, just two points shy of tying the Samsung Galaxy S III for first. And in third with 23 points was the Apple iPhone 4S, which bested the Samsung Galaxy S III (global) by only five points.
