Samsung hasn't said much yet about its plans for updating the Galaxy S III to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but that doesn't mean that owners of the company's flagship handset aren't hungry for Google's latest dessert. The good news is that today a video has surfaced that may satiate those appetites for a little bit. The clip, which comes to us courtesy of Mexican site AndroidMX, purportedly shows the international version of the Galaxy S III running Android 4.1.1. Of course, Jelly Bean is TouchWiz-ified, so it looks fairly similar to what Galaxy S III users are accustomed to, but some Jelly Bean-specific goodies (like the new look notifications shade) are visible. The video comes in at a little over 10 minutes long.
Considering that the Galaxy S III is Samsung's new flagship device, it seems like more of a question of when, not if, the device will be updated to Android 4.1. While the rumor mill has speculated that the official update for the international model could be here as soon as late August, things are fairly quiet when it comes to the carrier-specific U.S. models. At least Galaxy S III folk have this clip to keep them occupied until more details come to light. The full video is available below.
