Folks anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Motorola DROID RAZR HD on Verizon can now cross another pre-release item off their list, as the device as made its way through the halls of the FCC. The handset is only identified by the model number XT926, but thanks to a couple of leaks, it seems fairly likely that this is indeed the RAZR HD. The report shows that the XT926 features CDMA/EV-DO connectivity as well as LTE band 13, which is Verizon's preferred flavor of 4G, and there's also GSM functionality to be found. The filing reveals the presence of an NFC antenna inside the XT926, too.
When it comes to the RAZR HD's other specs, the rumor mill claims that we can expect features like a 4.6-inch 720p display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0. However, one crucial piece of information that we're still missing is the phone's launch date. It is one step closer to sliding onto Verizon's shelves, though, so at least anyone looking forward to the RAZR HD have that to celebrate today. How many of you Verizon customers are considering adopting this Kevlar-backed smartphone into your gadget family?
