AT&T first announced its variant of the Samsung Galaxy S III at the beginning of June, and while pre-orders for the device kicked off shortly thereafter, AT&T has yet to announce when its Galaxy S III will actually be launching. However, it looks like the phone's arrival could be nearing. As you can see in the screenshot above, Target Mobile's system lists the Galaxy S III as having a ship date of June 28. According to a source that just so happens to work for Target Mobile, the shipping date for online orders has typically been the same date that stores begin receiving merchandise.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is due to hit six carriers here in the U.S. as of this writing, and while previous Galaxy S models have been tweaked from the international model for each different operator, the U.S. Galaxy S III actually retains the same look (physical home button included) as its international brother. So far the device has launched on T-Mobile and was supposed to have already hit Sprint as well, but "overwhelming demand" for the device has caused the Now Network to push back its launch. Some AT&T customers have already gotten their pre-ordered Galaxy S IIIs, but the good news is that folks that are waiting for an in-store launch may soon get their opportunity to buy as well. We'll pass along more details as we get them.
