Just in case you need any more evidence that the next version of Android is codenamed Jelly Bean and that its introduction is likely near, we present you with the image above. It was posted to the official Google Developers Google+ page, and it shows a cup of jelly beans spilled over onto Google's lawn. As you can tell in the background of the shot, the cup of jelly beans is nestled among Google's several other dessert statues, including Cupcake (Android 1.5) and Gingerbread (Android 2.3).
While this image alone doesn't tell us much about the next big Android update other than which dessert will be its codename, a recent slip-up at the Google Play Store showed that the Galaxy Nexus will soon be "the first phone with Android 4.1 Jell..." Google is expected to officially introduce us to Jelly Bean at Google I/O. The event kicks off tomorrow, so thankfully it won't be much longer before we can finally start to get a feel for what Google's next dessert is all about. Stay tuned.
